Packers

We are currently seeking Packers to join our team in our Fort Lawn, SC, location. We need these packers to work in our pillow line:

  • Recent experience working an industrial, textile, or general labor job.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work a night shift or a day shift as assigned by management.
  • The ability to be a good student of our processes and procedures.


We offer competitive compensation packages including paid vacations and holidays.


Responsibilities:


Packers are responsible for packaging and some times palletizing pillow products. They are also required to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
Packers work a yearly set schedule of 5 days a week.  Candidates must be available to work each day of the week.

Production Associates

The Production Associate will perform a variety of entry level manufacturing tasks and acquire skills on the shop floor through cross training and job rotations. Associate will eligible to perform other job duties as probationary period and basic training requirements are met.


  • Ability to learn and perform all required duties of material handling, including but limited to assisting experienced operators in retrieving or moving needed tools, materials, and supplies.
  • Transport and store materials in designated racks, bins or other storage areas and locations.
  • Work from shipping or other orders and documents to support operations.
  • Perform all related duties as required to completely prepare material to meet shift deadlines
  • Exercise care in the selection of materials, handling and packing to avoid intermixing of orders, damage through mishandling or incorrect protection.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Warehouse / Forklift Operator

As a Warehouse operator, you’ll operate a clamp or forklift to pick customer orders, load, and unload trucks and/or rail cars, put away finished goods and operate floor scrubber. You’ll follow standard work and safety methods, practices, and procedures in support of an efficient and safe production environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years previous forklift, clamp lift or heavy machinery operations experience.
  • Required to comply with company policies.
  • Required to work overtime as needed.
  • Required to work assigned shift.
  • Required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Required to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be Certified Forklift Driver and provide documentation of certification.
  • Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to operate and utilize the computerized inventory system.
  • Accepts constructive feedback and alters behavior accordingly.
  • Required to pass in-house forklift skills tests.


Compensation:

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


Industrial Seemstress

Job Description:


The seamstress coordinates and interfaces with the Production Manager. You will be in charge of activities that ensure the on-time fabrication of products to satisfy the clients, within the quality standards. We’re looking for someone who is strong-minded, goal-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about meeting deadlines.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain sewing machines and related parts, including pattern plates, needles, presser feet, automatic cutting tools, and blades
  • Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread and needles, mounting necessary attachments and double-checking settings before beginning a large run
  • Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make machine adjustments to compensate for errors or quality issues
  • Record accurately the materials used, maintenance performed and number of pieces completed during each shift, keeping each of these metrics within target ranges
  • Attach elastic, cord, zippers, hooks, buttons and other trimmings to sewn pieces according to work order instructions and diagrams
  • Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed
  • Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals
  • Able to stand throughout shift


Qualifications: (Must be able to)

  • Work 40-45 hours a week

  • Have reliable transportation
  • Lift and/or push 20lbs occasionally

Education: High School or Equivalent (Preferred)


Experience Required: Textile Sewing: 2 year (Preferred)

Fiber Fill Operator

Job Description


Fiber/ Down Fill Operators work individually or as a team to fill the pillows and cushions using a fiber fill machine.


Summary of essential job functions

  • Holds end of pillows and or cushions, starts blower to fill cover with applicable material.
  • Smooths material inside cover with hands to ensure correct distribution of filling material.
  • Weighs pillows or cushions and adds or removes material to obtain cushion of specified weight.
  • Places completed product on a buggy for transport into the production area.


Minimum requirements


High school diploma preferred, and previous fiber fill experience highly preferred.


Abilities required

  • Ability to show up to work on-time, every day, and take direction from supervisor(s) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. repetitively on a daily basis.


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
